Workshop on Sustainable Use of Forest Resources

The case of the cosmetic and pharmaceutical industry

Objective

This roundtable aims to explore the issues of sustainable forest resource use in the cosmetic and
pharmaceutical industry. Discussions will focus on the fair and equitable sharing of genetic resources
in Central Africa, the development of sustainable industries, the development of traditional know-how,
certification, quality labels and market access.

The experts gathered around the table will present their actions, share their experiences or
innovations and make recommendations on the economic and environmental opportunities of the
sector.

Link between scientific research and the use of genetic resources in the cosmetic and pharmaceutical industry.

Innovative and sustainable solutions developed by Ocyna and Kadalys using padouk waste and banana.
